About us
Buda Juniors is an English-language, multi-national football club in Budapest, Hungary for children aged 4 to 19 years old. Run by Janos Banfi, a former Hungarian national team captain with 14 years experience of playing professional football and qualified with the UEFA coaching license, we play at Csilleberc in the Buda hills of the 12th district.

Buda Juniors places great stress on the safety of members - before, during and after training sessions. With this in mind, we have introduced new procedures for our coaches and parents to follow in order to ensure the safety of your children when they are at Buda Juniors.
Safety procedure

Please explain to your children the importance of not leaving their coach or the sports hall/football field after training until their parents, or another person who is authorized to collect them, arrive.

Rather than asking children to meet you elsewhere, we ask that you collect your children personally from training. This rule applies to all our members with the exception of members over 13 who, with their parents' authorization, will be allowed to leave the club alone.

Members of Groups 1, 2, 3 and 4 will remain with their coach until you arrive. When they have finished training, the coach will personally take them to the spectators' area at the end of his session. We ask that you do not take your children until this has been completed. This is the only way the coach can keep a record of all his children, when they leave and who collects them.

If you have to take your children early for any reason, please make sure that the coach knows about it.

Please let us know beforehand if you will be arriving late to collect them.

Please let us know beforehand if somebody else is going to collect your children.

Members of Groups 5 and 6 may go to the dressing rooms to change but should not leave the sports hall building or training field alone.

The changing rooms should be kept tidy and dry

The floor is to be walked upon - please use the benches and coat hooks for your clothes and shoes

No more water fights in the changing rooms, boys!

Boys should only use the boys' changing room. Even younger members who may need help to dress should also use that facility. A member of our staff is always on hand to help with awkward clothing and tying shoe laces. We are trying to attract more girls to the club and it could be rather embarassing with boys (even younger ones) using the girls' changing room

Ladies, please return the favour and don't go into the boys' dressing room - however tempting it may be!
Safety Measures Post Coronavirus 2020
Please read the following to make sure we all stay safe!
As we take our tentative steps back to the game we love and miss, we respectively ask you to ensure your child/children are aware of our temporary rules for a smooth transition to this “new normal”.
Training Days
We are starting with the normal training days (Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday) for the first week or two for sure. We are looking into the possibility to have more training days. We will of course let you know later.
Training Times
Our intent is to reduce contact as much as possible and we plan to introduce a short break between each session to enable us to do so. Because of this, training times will alter slightly. (see below) We believe that with no schools open it can be done, but please let us know if this isn’t working for you, in that case we will stick with the normal time schedule. We are going back to normal automatically when/if schools reopen.
It is very important to be on time when arriving and when you pick up your child/children!
Tuesdays & Thursdays
Group 1:15.00 – 15.45 | Group 2:15.00 – 16.00 | Group 3: 16.15 – 17.15 | Group 4&5: 17.30 – 19.00
Saturdays
Group 1: 9.00 – 9.45 | Group 2: 10.00 – 11.00 | Group 3: 11.15 – 12.15 | Group 4&5: 12.30 – 14.00
Summer program:
Buda Juniors FC intends to remain open throughout the summer months whether in the form of camps or daily training sessions. The government released the news that they allow summer camps. We are waiting for the final and detailed regulations to this, and will come back to you with Buda Juniors FC’s summer program. So, plan with us…
Arriving and leaving
Please be on time arriving and leaving the sessions! Very important as we must avoid groups to meet each other between sessions!
For security reasons no vehicles will be permitted on KFKI premises throughout this health emergency. The car park outside will remain in use. Entrance to the facility will be by foot.
- Whenever using this car park try to use it as a drop off/pick up zone. Please be punctual and do not allow children to congregate in this area for obvious reasons. If you need us to collect your child/children at the gate, please let us know and we will help!
- Also, please be aware that Saturdays the parking area can be especially busy due to other people exercising and such and we kindly recommend to not use this area as a waiting room as spaces are restricted.
- Kriszta is always on standby, so you can call her (+36707022350) and she will contact you if and when required.
- Parents and guardians of group 1&2 are allowed – only if necessary - on the facilities during training sessions and we kindly ask you to stay within the designated parent areas. It is mandatory to wear a face mask at all times and respect social distancing.
- Parents of groups 3 and above will not be permitted on the facilities. We ask for your patience and understanding at this time as we do our best to ensure as safe environment as possible. Again, Kriszta is available at all in times for any questions and to help you if needed!
Dressing rooms and toilets:
The locker rooms will not be in use for changing or storing clothes or equipment. However, the toilets will remain open for players and staff only and are accessible via the changing rooms. Only one person is permitted at a time unless supervision is required. Hand disinfectant is available and its use is mandatory when entering and exiting the building.
In case of any adults/parents really need to use the toilet, please make sure that you pay special attention to the above!
Drinks:
We inform you that the Buda Juniors FC’s “shop” will be temporarily closed. We strongly recommend that all players bring their own water bottles/drinks to training and their name clearly visible on them. Any lost and found will be discarded after each training session.
Sessions:
- It is our intention to remain outdoors throughout this period and will only be forced inside due to bad weather or unforeseen reasons. If and when we go inside it will be with the tent completely open. (the tent can be open both side along)
- Safety is our priority and it is our duty to ensure that all footballs will be disinfected prior and after each session as well as the cones. The use of bibs will be restricted and all bibs will be removed and washed after each individual use. We will not be offering goalkeeping gloves at this time so please bring your own if necessary.
