1st Match Day- 06.12.2015

Matches:

Buda Juniors – Újbudai MFS 5:1

Buda Juniors – Pomázi Focisuli SE 0:2

Buda Juniors – Piliscsaba SE 1:3

“Ups and downs” could be the best description of the 2004s first match day. We started the day with 7 players and due to illnesses we ended up playing the last match with no subs! Regardless, we saw great football at times from our players and with further training in a few areas of the game they will definitely comeback stronger next year.

Things started well for us in the first match even though we conceded a goal in the first 30 seconds. This was quickly remedied with a 3-minute hattrick by Vanya! Patrick was essential all over the field linking up with everyone and creating spaces for Vanya and Kristof to score. Adam was excellent at the back out running most of the opposition and providing great tackles and cuts.  With no designated keeper Otto volunteered to go in goals and did a fantastic job. Robi was at first supposed to miss the last match, but ended up playing to help his teammates. He worked extremely hard and was unlucky not to score on the day.

During the second and third match, we lost 2 players and had to regroup as a team. In spite of this, the players performed and were unlucky not to get better results. Concentration levels decreased and were the main cause why we conceded easily defendable goals. Most of the goals against came from corner kicks or kick-ins where a player was left unmarked or the marking was not tight enough. Regardless, the players showed great fight and gave it their all which was the only request from the coach. I have no doubts they will improve and overcome the results of the first match day. Heads up boys!

2nd Match Day- 16.01.2016

Matches:

Buda Juniors – Újbudai MFS 2:1

Buda Juniors – Piliscsaba SE 1:0

Buda Juniors – Pomázi Focisuli SE 2:3

It was the second match day for the 2004s. The first game saw Ádám score early on and it was a close game all the way but with the score tied at 1-1 Vanya scored from a free kick to make it 2-1. The second game was all about Kristóf who made some incredible saves to keep the clean sheet at the back and thanks to Vanya’s great solo effort the guys took all the 3 points! In the last game Pomáz ran out winners and deservedly so, man of the match was Patrick who has been the stand out player of the day. Solid at the back, clever decisions up front and tremendous work rate. One more match day to go where the guys can show they can do even better!

3rd Match Day- 30.01.2016

Matches:

Buda Juniors – Újbudai MFS 1:2 (Kristof)

Buda Juniors – Mészöly Focisuli 1:4 (Vanya)

Buda Juniors – FC Esztergom 1:3 (Vanya)

It was a day with mixed emotions for the 2004 guys. The first match against Újbuda was a high intensity game and if the guys did make more out of the chances they would have run out winners easily. The second match was the low point of the day. It simply wasn’t enough from the Buda Juniors team. Neither the effort nor the quality of football were right and the 4-1 win of the Mészöly team was more then deserved. In the last game against Esztergom we were hoping to see another good game from the boys. It was a passionate game and again it was the missed chances that resulted in the 3-1 defeat. No doubt the two outstanding players of the day were Patryk and Vanya, whose attitude is an exaple to follow!
