1st Match Day - 26.11.2017
Buda Juniors FC 2007– Pomázi Focisuli SE 1:5
Buda Juniors FC 2007– FC Esztergom 0:2
Buda Juniors FC 2007– Buda Juniors FC 2008 2:3
First match (LOSS): Our 2007s were very nervous and it jeopardized this talented groups overall game. From the get go simple mistakes stacked up and clouded them all. We lacked aggression and determination, and besides Daniel B scoring and some great saves by Lukas W things never took a turn for the better.
Second match (LOSS): Again it took the opposition no time to score. We started off by receiving wave after wave of attacks, but eventually subsided once we got into the match. Daniel B led the team to a more competitive state, but his drive failed to affect and agitate his teammates.
Third match (LOSS): With both BJs teams losing their matches, it meant the Derby was to take place. You would think the nerves and frustration of the other two matches would be placed behind us, but unfortunately it remained inside their heads. After going 0-2 down to an energetic BJ team, Daniel B once again led the charge. Marco P had greats saves for the 2007s as wells as Chris G for the 2008s... the woodwork also denied several attempts from Matteo and Daniel B. Matteo and David A got two goals back in the final minutes to make it 2-3, but the final attempts to get the equalizer, and take the match on to penalties, came to no avail. They may be disappointed by the results, but it will serve as a great lesson to learn from our mistakes and improve in the next match-day.

Buda Juniors FC 2008s – Voyage SE 1:5 (Nikolai)
Buda Juniors FC 2008s – Piliscsaba SE 0:3
Buda Juniors FC 2008s – Buda Juniors FC 2007s 3:2 (Mate, Jonathan2)
The opening game proved to be a difficult one against a physical team ending in defeat and although the boys grew in confidence after Nikolai scored with a phenomenal finish it proved to give us hope that was quickly distinguished. The boys were far more competitive in our second game with Benny and Edward marshalling the defence while the midfielders, Martin, Chris and Dani worked their socks off and supported our forwards as often as was possible with Mate showing his class with numerous dribbles. The final game was one for the books. The Buda Juniors El Classico. Mate goal in the opening minute set the tone and the team visibly grew in confidence. Jonathans led the team and scored a couple more goals that took the game away from our local fierce opponents. Although inevitably the pressure increased as the game entered the closing stages the boys held on for a famous and fully deserved victory.

Buda Juniors FC 2007– Voyage SE 1:4
Buda Juniors FC 2007– FC Esztergom 0:2
Buda Juniors FC 2007– Buda Juniors FC 2008 5:1
Going one nil up in our opening game to one of the finest own goals this famous stadium has witnessed proved to be a false dawn as we could not prevent the opposition from going on to win comfortably. Our second game against another strong outfit was a back to wall job with our defense superbly marshalled by Abel in goal keeping the score down to a respectable score line. Our rivalry with our Buda Juniors '08 brothers was renewed, and you could feel the tension in the arena. Our strength and experience proved to be the deciding factor in a exciting game where Dani ran in a hattrick and claiming the match ball in the process.

Buda Juniors FC 2008s – Pomázi Focisuli SE 0:6
Buda Juniors FC 2008s – Buda Juniors FC 2007s 1:4
After a very positive start to the Winter Cup in 2017 the 2008 age group played their first game against Piliscsaba. It was a very close contested game that ended with a narrow defeat although Máté came close to equalise with just minutes remaining. In the second game Maciej a – Winter Cup debutant - went into goals and did a great job against a very good Pomáz team. The spirit was much better although Pomáz ran out as deserved winner. The last game saw the two Buda Juniors team clash. The 2008’s did a fine job against the older ones with Martin being the outstanding player on the pitch!

Buda Juniors FC 2007 – Piliscsaba SE 1:4
Buda Juniors FC 2007 – Voyage SE 0:9
Buda Juniors FC 2007 – Buda Juniors FC 2008 4:2
Our 2007’s played their 3rd machday of this season’s Winter Cup. In the first game Piliscsaba won 4:1 but it was a much closer game then the result shows. The guys were soon 2:0 behind but regrouped and got a goal back. As they were pushing for the equaliser Piliscsaba scored after two counter-attacks. In the second game Voyage were clearly the better team but the guys gave in too easily which resulted in a heavy defeat. In the final contest against the Buda Juniors youngsters a 4:2 win meant that the boys finished on a high. Bruno was the main man scoring goals and pulling the strings! His right footed strike in the top corner was the highlight of the day!

Buda Juniors FC 2008s – Piliscsaba SE 1:4 (Anton)
Buda Juniors FC 2008s – Voyage SE 0:9
Buda Juniors FC 2008s – Buda Juniors FC 2007s 2:4 (Anton 2)
The boys were clearly excited as our opening game approached but nerves got the better of some of them and we where three goals behind in the early stages before a free kick from Anton released some of the anxiety and the boys finally began to assert themselves but the game was at this time out of reach. The strength of our opponents in our second game made for an extremely difficult and long game. Our final game against our Buda Juniors brothers was an entertaining affair and the boys played their best game against familiar opponents and although held their own for long periods just couldn't bridge the gap. It proved a difficult matchday but the boys deserve enormous credit for the attitude and effort against teams that were all one year older than themselves.

4th Match Day - 11.02.2018
Buda Juniors FC 2007– Pomázi Focisuli SE 0:10
Buda Juniors FC 2007– FC Esztergom 0:3
Buda Juniors FC 2007– Buda Juniors FC 2008 1:2
Matchday four got off to the worst possible start with a performance lacking in confidence and leadership. The boys were clearly shocked at the speed and level of our opponents and self pity soon set in. It was a game the boys simply never recovered from. Although in our second match we played significantly better to which the boys deserve credit for, they still seemed to be playing as if in auto pilot. The final game against our Buda Junior cousins was a hard thought occasion which was decided in controversial circumstances and although Boti got us back in the game the woodwork twice denied us the result the boys effort deserved.
It was a Matchday were the boys learnt a great deal from. A football pitch is no place to feel sorry for themselves and when looking for leadership you have to look within first.

Buda Juniors FC 2008s – Buda Juniors FC 2007s 2:1
An overall great performance by our 2008s!
Things started of with a great display in a well fought 1-1. All the players were focused from the get go and it showed in every aspect of their game. Defence was spot on and the commitment with each other as well. Maciej had great saves that kept us in the game! Nikolai got the equaliser from an Anton freekick that was misjudged by their defence. Great passing at times with every player deserving a giant pat on the back.
The second match was lost 1-2, and even though Anton’s late goal gave us a chance, we were unable to get a result. Despite the loss it was another cracking performance. Eduard, Jonathan, and Pablo giving their all at both ends of the field. Maciej again had great saves!
The match day finished with the BJ derby! This time the 2008s clinched victory with a slightly controversial goal, but the overall energy and determination makes the score fully deserved. Nikolai, Will were great pressure going forward and Benny, Eduard, and Maciej sacrificed thenselves in defence in another well fought performance. The 2-1 win at the end rounded off a great overall performance by our 2008. Great football and fight!!!
